Iraq: Garraf Project
This is a project to develop and produce crude oil at Garraf Oil Field in the southern Iraq.
JAPEX has been engaged in the crude oil development and production ay Garraf Oil Field in Iraq since it acquired production and development rights in 2009 jointly with the operator PETRONAS, Malaysia's state-owned oil company.

- In production: Approximately 127,000 barrels per day (Average of Apr. 2022 - Mar. 2023)
- Additional development: Development work underway to increase crude oil production to 230,000 barrels per day

History
- December 2009: Acquired production and development rights jointly with the operator PETRONAS
- January 2010: Signed a development and production service contract with South Oil Company, Iraq's state-owned company
- August 2013: Started crude oil production
- November 2013: Certified for commercial production by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil
- April 2018: Started additional development work for increasing oil production to 230,000 barrels per day
