Code of Ethics and Conduct
To realize our Corporate Vision and sustain as a company trusted by society, we hereby establish the JAPEX Group Code of Ethics and Conduct, which provides corporate ethics standards and principles of action to be adhered by all officers and employees.

Formulated in 2013 and revised in November 2019

We have established specific actions to be taken by each employee based on the Specific Actions Based On the JAPEX Group Code of Ethics and Conducts.
1. Comply with applicable laws and regulations, and respect international code of conduct.

2. Place top priority on HSE (health, safety and environment).
- Keep always conscious of occupational safety and health, and work to secure them and prevent occupational accidents.
- Give maximum attention to environmental protection and reduction of environmental impact through our business activities.
- Make hard efforts to the promotion of energy conservation and reduction of greenhouse gas emission for the contribution to realizing a low-carbon society.
3. Strive to maintain trust with stakeholders and to contribute to society.
- Pay attention to the various interest of our stakeholders (clients, business partners, shareholders and investors, local communities, employees, etc.), and aim to realize mutual benefits by our actions meeting their expectations.
- Provide information to stakeholders in a timely, appropriate, and fair manner and engage active and continuous communications.
- Develop safe and reliable products and services, and make efforts to supply them safe and stable.
- Take close communication with stakeholders including quick information sharing when occurring accident or problem of our products or services.
4. Respect the human rights of all people.
- Recognize and respect human rights as a universal concept that everyone has equality.
- Respect international norms of human rights and not to do or engage in discriminations or harassments of any kind such as on the basis of gender, age, nationality, race, skin color, culture, customs, religion, sexual orientation, and disabilities.

- Comply with the antimonopoly laws, the unfair competition prevention act, and competition laws in various foreign countries.

Trainings on JAPEX Group Code of Ethics and Conduct
In September 2023, we began distributing training materials to all employees, including part-time workers, who could access the JAPEX intranet. These materials present the JAPEX Group Corporate Vision, Code of Ethics and Conduct, and specific actions to deepen understanding about the responsibilities and expectations as members of the JAPEX Group.
